Worship In The House Of The Lord
What if we looked at Sunday as the start of our week instead of the end? What if we chose not to stay home and instead gathered to worship with the family of God? What if we gave the same priority to growing our families in the Lord as we do keeping up with our busy schedules? The church was once the center of most communities. We act as though it’s a “got to” and not a “get to.”
No chains are on the doors of most churches. The government hasn’t stopped our freedom to worship. The bank hasn’t foreclosed and there’s not a “For Sale” sign in the yard.
Our world is a busy place with a wide variety of things to fill our lives. Will you please consider making plans to worship regularly a part of your family’s life? We still need family pews where prayers are prayed, hymns are sung and sermons heard. We need the joy of gathering together to share our love for the Lord and each other.
The Psalmist enthusiastically proclaims in Psalm 122:1, “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
